Store: Bagel/convenience store set-up common to Staten Island. Long deli case with variety of cream cheeses. Not a lot of flash in the presentation. Wide drink selection, efficient bagel staff. A little gruff in manner, which for the purposes of this review is a wash - it falls in line with potential bagel store attitude but not with the extra swagger that can be endearing. 3.75
Bagel: Large bagel, served cold but fresh. Very light on the toppings, which is not necessarily a problem. Good salt ratio for the toppings present, which is a plus. Toppings on both sides, very unusual for Staten Island. Deliciously briney shell, good salt management. A hard bagel to chew. Overall, a decent-to-good bagel as the metrics of this exercise are designed, but the potential for lox and cream cheese on this platform is strikingly evident. Get lox though I could not. 3.75
Cream Cheese: Served cold. Riding the line between proper application and thin application based on the bagel size. Fresh and well made but not striking. 3.75
