Store: Deep, rectangular space with a longer than usual deli case on the left and a large number of drink fridges to the right. Bagel hoppers are up against the back wall, with a modest selection of spreads and fish on display. Nice custom signage against the left wall with hand painted food adornments. Slow but present staff. A store somewhere between scuffed and full on character. 4

Bagel: Medium-large bagel, not hot. Toppings both sides, stronger on one. Standard toppings plus sunflower seeds, uncommon but not unprecedented. Salt crystals present. A tough chew, to its detriment. A nice crust to the shell but you have to get aggressive with it. The appeal would be there if it was caught still warm. I want to like this bagel more than I do. 3.75

Cream Cheese: Served cold. Evenly applied if a little underapplied. Overly cheesy flavor, scallions evident. Not much to write home about. 3.25
