Store: As with the NoLita location, nice interior but closed off due to the pandemic. Door ordering only. Long, contemporary style space as observed from the outside but not enough to properly grade.
Bagel: Medium-small bagel. Two sided toppings, with good density on one side and limited coverage on the other. They have a charred visual appeal but - somehow - contribute nothing to the flavor. The dough itself is clumpy, cold and at least hours old. I'm honestly not sure what's happening here. I visited this location expecting a turnaround from the first experience and received a bagel that tasted like it came thawed from a freezer bag. Maybe the fact that the store itself is closed is being used as an opportunity to sell bagels past their prime? According to the window signage, pizza is now on the menu during the PM hours. They need to fix their main product first. It gives me no joy to see the main example of Montreal-style bagels in NYC serve this type of product. 2
Cream Cheese: Served deli case cool. Fresh, clean taste, no overcheese. Nice scallion size, slightly less amount than I'd like. Good amount and clean application. Nothing to bowl one over but respectable. 3.5
