Store: Had to come back multiple times to catch the store open due to September holiday hours. An interesting blend of cafe offerings and contemporary aesthetic. Moderate drink selection, small pastry section and pre-made salads available for purchase. Possibly holiday, definitely traditional Jewish music playing over internet radio. Staff is very friendly. The bagel is prepped at a salad bar, with additional vegetables offered as standard additions. When I go to the register and communicate I ordered an 'everything with scallion', the cashier at first presumes I got exclusively scallions on the bagel, no spread. Points for offering different topping options despite my not exercising them for review continuity. 3.5

Bagel: A small bagel with a modestly-sized central hole. Moderate topping density, two-sided, with no salt presence on shell, brine or crystal. Typical everything topping composition. Not quite in line with the standard bagel experience. On the one hand it's lighter, lending itself to more sandwich potential. On the other hand, it struggles to distinguish itself with just a cream cheese compliment. In this respect it shares commonality with many of the Appetizing store bagels, though lox was not a central focus to this experience. 2.75

Cream Cheese: Served neutral temperature. Chunk scallion, with decent visual pop but not much taste or texture play. Straddles the line between dairy neutral and dairy forward, with tangy overtures here and there. Fine amount but slightly uneven application. Credit for seemingly being made on site, but not much direction overall. 3
