Store: A classic candy stand/news shop set-up: a tiny, square space with all services at arms reach from any point in the store. These are vital New York City institutions but no one would ever mistake them for a bagel store. No pastry selection, plain cream cheese only, no production on site. A misnomer for sure. 2.5

Bagel: A very pale bagel, most likely doughy but toasted without my request or notice. One sided, standard toppings and no saltiness to speak of. Tastes exactly like every bodega bagel you're going to find in the city. 2.5
