Store: A combo of contemporary and classic styling that ultimately trends more modern. A remix of Corona's "The Rhythm of the Night" plays on the radio, a COVID update from the governor plays on the flat screen. Spreads bountifully displayed, small drink selection. Friendly, efficient staff. Ultimately not possessing the character found at their Midtown location, but still a tight bagel store experience. 4.25
Bagel: Extra large bagel with standard toppings on both sides. Lovely oblong shape with nice brown speckling to the shell. A tougher chew than I was anticipating but not from lack of freshness. Toppings are dense and the salt ratio is spot on. 4.25
Cream Cheese: Served room temp, applied evenly and generously. Scallion pieces are bright and chunky bot low in number relative to the spread volume. No matter, as the spread fundamentals are outstanding. How something so fundamentally heavy as cream cheese could hit as light as this is nothing short of remarkable. Between here and the Midtown location, it possible that this is the best chain store cream cheese in the city. 4.5
