Store: Brooklyn outpost of the Manhattan classic. It'd be impossible to replicate the aura of the original location and the shop doesn't bother to try, instead leaning on the expectations of being nestled inside a high end shopping center. Their sizable bagel production facility is encased behind glass as a natural attraction, and the classic, white tile aesthetics that have informed many an imitator are on display in the service area. All the fish offerings you'd expect are present, along with tons of fun merch options. Despite four staff behind the counter, service was very slow, taking about 30 minutes to get through 10-12 customers. Beware to order well in advance if ordering on the phone/online as I saw pick-ups having to wait without their order being prepared. Once it was my turn to order, my bagel was prepared ~45 seconds as I wasn't getting lox (an unfortunate burden of this project's grading rubric). So much like the original location, be prepared to wait and relish the variety of offerings that are second to none. 4

Bagel: A medium-sized bagel, double-sided toppings of standard variety. A fresher bake than the review of the original location for obvious reasons. A nice doughy chew, very salt forward in flavor. That salt would be a tremendous asset when paired with lox but is neither here nor there in this case. As stated in the original location review, you should be getting lox if you're going to Russ & Daughters and not bound by the obligations of this exercise like myself. That said, the bagel itself is a notable improvement from the main location. 4

Cream Cheese: Served at neutral temperature. A fairly light touch on the scallion both in ratio and texture. A nice, strong tang however with smooth consistency. Good amount and even coverage. 4
