Store: A store experience reflecting the changing neighborhood. What previously was a gritty, hamper and seed bagel shop has been retrofitted into a full on appetizing experience, reflected in the store's slogan "A Taste of Nostalgia." Jazz vocals play overhead. Wall to wall offerings - perhaps too cramped but a fair price to pay for all the jewish comfort food one could want - tons of lox, borscht, latkes and more. Be sure to spot the ticket system on entry or you might get misplaced, but feel free to browse after receipt. This is comfortably the best bagel store of the appetizing variety in the wilds of Northern Brooklyn. 4.25

Bagel: A small bagel, not a detriment by any means in a city of bagel giants. Served fresh but not hot just after noontime. Double-sided toppings, standard variety, light on one side and medium on the other. A strong chew, rewarding. A good deployment of salt that would pair readily with lox. 4.25

Cream Cheese: Served slightly chilled. Good amount and even application. Whipped to a rougher texture in a way that's unusual for New York spreads but well played here. Not overly demonstrative in the scallion department yet its presence is felt. A subtle yet very effective spread. 4.5
