Store: Classic store set-up with an interesting variety of goods for sale. Small drink selection, moderate fresh pastry selection and a wide variety of Italian cookies available. Small, friendly crew working the shop. NY1 news plays on an overhead TV. Cool vintage deli signage. 4

Bagel: Small bagel with a fairly large, cream cheese-filled hole. A tough chew, actually hard to tell if from age due to topping amount so ultimately irrelevant. A host of unusual attributes to this one. Ultra high topping density, possibly the highest seen, standard constitution but poppy dominant - another rarity. The topping is extremely adhesive to the bagel shell, hardly dropping off the bagel on handling or bite. Excellent salt ratio, with flavorful crystals packed in every bite. A mouth ripper in a "hurts so good" sort of way. Certainly a bagel of note. 4.25

Cream Cheese: Served cool. Chunk scallion, with not much presence but the occasional texture pop. Dairy forward in a tangy, attention grabbing way. Very smooth despite cooler temperature. Even coverage, generous amount. A professional bagel store spread. 4
