Store: Long interior that gets narrower as you progress. Local art on the walls. Great deli case management, with four types of labeled lox and multiple spreads displayed with innovative decorative garnishes. Moderate drink selection but great variety within. Efficient, friendly staff running a ticket system. Phoenix playing on the radio. I originally had it at a 4.25 but could find no reason to restrain it there. 4.5
Bagel: A big and tall bagel, hefty in the wrapper. Served fresh but not hot. Wonderful topping density, slightly lighter on the bottom side but more than some others can manage on a whole bagel. Salt included in the standard topping mix, at a lower ratio than desired but just so. Its weakness is its height. While not dense per se, it's too much bread in each bite, leaving the cream cheese presence diminished. Nevertheless, a very strong bagel. 4
Cream Cheese: Served deli case cold. Evenly applied and I would say well applied for a typical bagel. I wouldn't want more on it, but it may have elevated its profile in the experience. Nice big chunks of scallion, fresh and not too cheesy. Just a little hidden for my tastes. 3.75
