Store: Contemporary set-up in the exposed brick and beam style. Small cold drink selection in the back, a decent pastry section up front. A long store with a good order flow. Very friendly staff and playful bagel options beyond my standard everything with scallion order. Tompkins continues to exist at the intersection of innovation and comfort. 4.25

Bagel: A classic Tompkins Square bagel style: huge, hefty, and topping dense. Double-sided on the coverage with standard topping mix. A shade lighter on the salt coverage than personally desired but uniform with the Tompkins brand. As a whole, Tompkins Square bagels are the perennial front runner for best bagel to eat in a park. 4.25

Cream Cheese: Served cool. Big scallion chunks add generous texture. Slightly dairy forward, with no excessive ripeness. Evenly applied with a good amount. A great tang to the whole affair. 3
