Store: A large, square space, very bare but in a way that makes room for character. Cartoon bagel mural on the right wall, drinks on the left, praise music lightly overhead. Extremely attentive, good-natured man representing the only customer-facing staff. Demonstrates the bagel with cream cheese on it to confirm my satisfaction. Very limited drink and pastry selection, chips in a box on a folding table to pick from. Zero amenities, erratic intentions - a totally novel experience. 4.25
Bagel: Medium-large bagel, made at the start of the day. Excellent topping composition, standard plus salt crystals at quality ratio and dense, dual-sided coverage. Too tough of a chew, presumably from prolonged air exposure. A gold star example of a bagel toasting candidate. Cream Cheese: Served cold. Applied to mutually certified specifications. A very buttery spread, suitable for serving with bread at a nice restaurant. Fresh scallion crispness provides a notable texture boost. The refrigeration proved to its slight detriment. 4
