Store: Principally a pizzeria that prepares bagels (as of this writing) on weekends only. As such, the store experience is very different than most you will find on this site. The front area serves as a bar with 100+ liquor bottles serving as decoration. In the back is more seating along with the pizza oven / bagel prep area. Ordered with a server, water was served while waiting. 4 types of bagels were available - plain, everything, sesame and poppy. Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive" plays on the radio. Ordering ahead is an option, the bagels go until they run out. With points added for novelty and taken away for lack of standard bagel store amenities, it still adds up to a quality experience. 4

Bagel: An average sized bagel. Double-sized toppings of the standard variety, leaning heavily into the charring the onions and garlic in a way that works well. Salt present but not overpowering. Surprisingly stiff and not warm for the early hour (10 AM Sunday, 'Spring forward' daylight savings day). The toughness of the chew made me argumentative, vacillating between difficult and enjoyable. Ultimately enjoyable won out. If you love your toppings charred without toasting, this is a great spot for you. 4.25

Cream Cheese: Rather than scallion cream cheese, this was a 'burnt scallion' variant. Given that it's a pizza shop first and bulk takeout is most of their business, I was concerned before I got there that they might not have a cream cheese offering. Instead I was blown away by the quality. Perfect tang and silky smooth, with a slight tan coloring to the spread. Perfect amount applied with even distribution, excellent scallion chunk size with nice color pops and good texture add. Surprisingly the strongest part of the experience. 4.75
